“Media IED"
July 29, 2006
The IED (Improvised Explosive Device) was one of the many dangers faced by my convoys on a daily basis while in Iraq. We were on constant lookout for the obvious and the subtle. We knew that the Islamic fascists would hide their bombs in potholes, under rock piles or camouflaged as garbage on the side of the road
.
Then, there were the unexpected, seemingly innocent objects that, to a normal, civilized person, were harmless. But, we weren’t then and aren’t now dealing with normal, civilized people. A child’s doll can kill many as explosives are hidden inside. Even the shells of burned trucks waiting to be picked up by recovery units are suspect. I have seen firsthand one of our own burned trucks explode, killing and wounding. These animals blew it up with a roadside bomb, only to return to rig “daisy chain” explosives to inflict further damage on the recovery units or convoys.
There have been threats in the latest insurgent ramblings of terror cells being activated within our borders. The obvious are those such as the Jamaat ul Fuqra, an Islamic militant organization out of Pakistan recently found here in the US, and at least one Hezbollah sleeper cell in New York. The FBI has been closely monitoring the many cells festering within the US.
Al Queda, Hamas and Hezbollah have said many times they can use our media and court system to wreck havoc on our country. In this unbalanced, politically correct society, excuses are made for criminal, terrorist behavior, as it is not acceptable to offend Muslims. This week, Naveed Afzal Haq, 30, a naturalized citizen from Pakistan, was booked into the King County, Washington, Jail for investigation of homicide and attempted homicide, after walking into the Jewish Federation’s office in Seattle and opening fire, killing one woman and injuring at least five others in what police are calling a “hate crime”. Haq proclaimed 'I am a Muslim American, angry at Israel,' before opening fire on the innocent women in the center, including a pregnant woman. The media has already made excuses for this murderer. No one wants to admit it – this was a Muslim who hated the Jewish people enough to follow the teaching of Mohammed and massacre innocent Americans.
Last month, in Denver, Colorado, a Muslim man entered the Safeway warehouse where he worked and opened fire on his co-workers. Why? He “didn’t like the way they treated him because he’s Muslim”.
These are only two obvious examples of “media IEDs” by Islamic-fascists within our borders that the blinders of political correctness will allow to continue. Why? We cannot offend the Muslim community.
In a more subtle attack, the American-Arab Anti Discrimination Committee (ADC) has filed a lawsuit in Federal court this week claiming Secretary of State Condeleezza Rice and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld failed to fulfill their constitutional and professional obligations to protect US citizens in time of crisis or war. They demand our country not send arms to Israel. This is a frivolous lawsuit without any bearing. Sec. Rice has made every attempt to deal diplomatically with a group of people who do not adhere to diplomacy – but desire only the complete annihilation of Israel and the US. Israel is our ally who will receive every bomb, bullet and support we can give them. They were attacked by animals hell-bent on their destruction, as we were on September 11, 2001.
Additionally, the US government has, at taxpayer expense, evacuated many US citizens from Lebanon and continues to do so. This, even after said citizens traveled to Lebanon against travel advisories to the contrary. There was no personal responsibility, only outrage that the evacuees pay their own expenses. We cannot have that, it will offend “Muslim-Americans”, and so our tax dollars paid the bill.
How, you are asking, is this nonsensical lawsuit a “subtle attack” on the US? Frivolous lawsuits tie up our court systems, cost the state and Federal courts thousands of dollars processing and preparing cases for such claims. Additionally, they will use the media to spread their deception and further pull the blinders over the eyes of those touchy-feely politically-correct-as-long-as-it’s-not-the US-or Israel reporters, college professors and politicians looking for a vote.
The ADC’s own website has instructions on how to file discrimination claims for such things as “not being allowed to take time during the work day to pray towards Mecca” and other work – disrupting activities.
Taken on a one-by-one basis, perhaps it may not seem like a “media IED”, but when you put the pieces of the puzzle together, you will find that our court system, our workplaces, our way of life are “daisy-chained” and under attack by “Arab Americans” who are not Americans in any other fashion except that they might have been born here.
The ADC and other Islamic groups claim that this is a peaceful religion. It is, in reality, one that teaches hatred, bloodshed and terrorism. Many Islamic-militants and their supporters have, in the past, used our open and tolerant society to attend our colleges and study our way of life. Our foreign student policy has brought to our soil those who come for no other reason than to use that education and experience in their thirst for the blood of innocent men, women and children.
We must realize, with regard to the obvious, that Hezbollah, Hamas and al-Queda are not going to adhere to any negotiations or compromise. They will take what we would give them and continue their massacre. You cannot, I repeat cannot, negotiate with terrorists. This includes the leadership of the countries that arm, train and harbor them. Nor can we allow infiltration of our very society by those who wish to destroy the Judeo-Christian and western way of life.
